LENTEN PROGRAM-2026

FRIDAY 27^TH MARCH 2026

The Legion of Mary will be conducting a Pilgrim Way of the Cross across 14 crosses in the vicinity of our parish starting at 10 p.m. from the Church.

SUNDAY 29^TH MARCH 2026 – PALM SUNDAY

Blessing of Palms at 8.00 a.m. followed by procession to the Church for Mass. Mass in English at 9.30 a.m.

At 5 p.m. prayer in church followed by procession, Veronica’s song, sermon by Fr. Joseph David and mass at 6 p.m.

MONDAY 30^TH & TUESDAY 31^ST MARCH 2026

Confessions:  Morning:  7.30 to 8.00 a.m.

                    Evening:  5.30 to 7.00 p.m. and 7.30 to 8.30 p.m.

THURSDAY 2^ND APRIL 2026 – MAUNDY THURSDAY

5.30 p.m.: Mass of the Lord’s Supper in Konkani & Washing of the feet.

7.30 p.m.: Mass of the Lord’s Supper in English & Washing of the feet.

9.00-09.30 p.m.: Holy hour at the Altar of Repose(silent adoration)

9.30-10.30 p.m.: Holy hour at the Altar of Repose in Konkani.

10.30-11.30 p.m.: Holy hour at the Altar of Repose in English.

FRIDAY 3^RD APRIL 2026 – GOOD FRIDAY (A Day of Fast & Abstinence)

07.00 a.m.       : Way of the Cross in Konkani in Church

09.00 a.m.       : The Way of the Cross will start from the respective  

                         communities, praying the first seven stations along the

                         way. The remaining seven will be in the church beginning       

                         at 10.00 a.m.

10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. : Sermon on Passion of the five wounds of Jesus            

                                            by Fr. Henry D’souza SVD   

4.00 p.m.         : Solemn Good Friday Service in Konkani

6.00 p.m.         : Solemn Good Friday Service in English followed by Passo    

                         service.

DIVINE MERCY NOVENA BEGINS ON GOOD FRIDAY AT 5.45 P.M., ON HOLY SATURDAY AFTER THE 7.30 A.M. SERVICE, ON EASTER SUNDAY AFTER 8 A.M. MASS & ON WEEKDAYS AFTER THE 7 A.M. MASS.

SATURDAY 4^TH APRIL 2026 – HOLY SATURDAY

7.30 a.m.         : Prayer service in honour of Our Lady of Sorrows to be conducted by the Canossian Sisters.

9.30 p.m.          : Easter Vigil Service.

(Please bring your own candles).

SUNDAY 5^TH APRIL 2026 – EASTER SUNDAY

7.00 a.m.         : Mass in Konkani.

8.00 a.m.         : Mass in English.

9.30 a.m.         : Mass in English.   

NO MASS IN THE EVENING.

12 noon         : Easter blessing in homes. (Prayer attached)

 Holy water will be available near the Sacristy from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Easter Sunday.
